Sonoma County Retreat Starts on Friday night. Hester will be team teach with director, Robert Pickett. In addition to the material described below in Day 1, Day 2 will include shooting two person scenes suitable for demo. reel footage.

DAY 1: SATURDAY.
All day session. 9 - 5.
GETTING THE JOB-
MARKETING MATERIALS, AUDITIONS, AGENTS AND OPPORTUNITY-

Optional dinner and evening activity to be announced.
You are now the CEO, CFO, marketing manager, product developer and the product of your own business. GO. Learn to talk to your departments and apply business sense to your creative arts career as an actor. This 8 hour day will affirm a vision statement and your commitment to success. We cover an overview of markets and where you fit in. TARGET MARKETING. CASTING TYPE. Research. Planning. Long and short term goals. YOUR PLAN for SUCCESS. We will talk about what you can do without an agent. We will look at TECHNOLOGY and how it has changed HOW YOU MARKET. Marketing materials evaluation and recommendations. Get specific with your expectations, and create an individual plan to INCREASE your “CALL BACK RATIO." Learn about hidden resources and periodicals to find more auditions WITHOUT AN AGENT. Opportunities and current trends. How to get a union card, and when/if you need one. How to build a DEMO. REEL. COLD READS, PREPARED READS. Auditioning for the camera Come with your questions and let an industry expert and master acting teacher get them answered. Limited to 20 performers. $150. With Lunch. Auditors welcome: reduced rate ($85) after sell out.

DAY 2: SUNDAY -
All day session. 9 - 5
PERFORMING THE JOB--
ON-CAMERA CRASH COURSE AND TUNE-UP -


Review and/or fine tune your On-camera basics: Short on-camera solo and partnered exercises and participation. FRAMELINE, EYELINE, MAKING YOUR MARK AND MATCHING ACTION. Shoot a BETTER CLOSE-UP and stay off the cutting room floor. Distinguish performance/energy levels from close up to wide frame lines. Make clear choices based in script analysis and character development. Use listening as a key to staying alive in the moment, take after take after take. Limited to 16 performers: Includes Day 1. Prerequisite: Day 1, or
consent of instructor.


Maximum enrollment - 16.
Format: On your feet working,
reading, skill building.

Do both days back to back.
Or just do one of the two days depending on your needs.
